The Challenge
The Buzzi Unicem Group wants to make more efficient its cement plants of Vernasca and Augusta through a LED lighting solution.
Before the intervention were installed traditional technology lamps that did not ensure the proper lighting levels for the visual tasks of workers.
The purpose of the intervention is to improve the visibility, sustainability and safety in the plants, ensuring a significant reduction in electricity consumption.
The Solution
Buzzi Unicem has made an intervention in TPF (third party financing) upgrading the lighting systems using LED technology through TerniEnergia Energy Service Company.
With VOLTA, MATTEUCCI and DA VINCI luminaires the energy consumption has been reduced over 65% with consequent reductions in operating costs and of the environmental impact.
